Whispers of all things feminine encircle Spring Summer 2010, with elegance, vintage and drape being the central qualities. Natural, sustainable yarns are fast becoming the norm and not the exception. Hemp, linen and corn provide heavier, rustic textures, whereas sumptuous silk and viscose tease with their perfect fluidity, stitch definition and understated shine. We also see the much anticipated emergence of recycled yarns, groundbreaking in the form of silk, cotton and viscose.
These trends are reflected in the following three stories Serenity, Halycon Days and Jamboree, click on the following links to view the wonderful designs;

With resurgence in handicrafts and all things handmade, winter 2009/10 sees the celebration of traditional craftsmanship. Hand knitwear is the perfect opportunity for the discerning consumer to express their creative flair in an environmentally responsible way. Consumers are willing to invest their precious time and money creating ageless knitwear that offers quality, luxury and longevity. With a continuing trend for natural fibres, yarns are light and fluffy, warm and airy or dense including matted, scrubbed, hairy and primitive. The heavily textured fabrics are infused with cashmere, baby alpaca, kid mohair and silk to create beautifully soft textured fabrics. Traditionally British fabrics such as tweeds, checks, tartans, fairisle and plaids are used as well as chunky structured cables in soft rounded and felted yarns completing the traditional craft inspired look. These trends are reflected in the following 3 stories, Heritage, Shadowland and Folklore

Yarns covered include: Big Wool, Cocoon, Pure Wool 4 Ply, Pure Wool Aran, Shimmer, Wool Cotton, Kidsilk Haze, Kid Classic, Kidsilk Aura, Felted Tweed, Felted Tweed Aran, Felted Tweed Chunky.

All things natural are the main driving force behind the yarn trend for spring 2009. The knitwear eco trend is ever expanding with the introduction of a wider choice of environmentally sound yarns. The trend for finer, light weight yarns continues with emphasis placed on drape and comfort. Surface shine is a prominent trend with an overall look which is sophisticated and elegant. The natural perspective of the main yarn trend translates itself in relaxed, textural casual pieces as well as an ultra fine, smart urban look. Raised surfaces and textures are important with the look acheived by inconsistences in the yarn or by stitch structures. Open lace and mesh patterns provide interest in knitwear using non textural yarns. These three major themes are reflected in the three design stories: 'Bloom', 'Evergreen' and 'Driftwood'.

Yarns covered include: Fine Milk Cotton, Shimmer, Cotton Glace, Kidsilk Haze, Summer Tweed, Calmer, Handknit Cotton, Denim and All Seasons Cotton.
